NARC-Kenya in Sweden!

Posted by African Press International on November 6, 2006

Narc-Kenya received a very big boost here in Scandinavia when a record of
more than 40 Kenyans lauched Narc-Kenya Scandinavia Branch in Stockolm
on 6th Sep 06.

The ceremony was organised by Kenyans at the residence of Narc-Kenya representative in scandinavia Mr.Daniel Mwaura Njuguna. Hon. Beth Mugo (the Chairperson of Narc-Kenya) and Hon.Alicen Chelaite narrated to the Kenyans how the political situation is in Kenya and went further to explain the surport Narc-K has in Kenya.

They both criticised ODM-Kenya, saying its being driven by power hungry people who will soon loose direction. Hon. Mugo and Hon. Chelaite thanked Kenyans in Sweden for showing solidarity by surporting the government of president Kibaki. The assitant
Ministers had special praises for Mr.Mwaura Njuguna who was officially crowned the Narc-Kenya Rep. in Scandinavia. Mr Mwaura was given a mandate to call the members again at an appropriate time to hold elections in order to fill all the posts.

In welcoming the visitors, Mr Mwaura said that since the meeting was called to open Narc-Kenya he was happy that even some former Kanu members were calling him to join Narc-Kenya. At that moment Mr.Hahason Tarus (former Kanu Official) defected and was welcomed to Narc-Kenya by Hon. Beth Mugo. Notably among the 40+ Kenyans present were  Ms Winnie Mukaru (Daugther of Dr. Mukaru Nganga of Kenda), Peter Mukuru Mukundi, former Police Boss), the late James Kiboi (Kenya embassy Official) Mrs Nyambura Ngatia, Mwaura Njuguna, William Twitoek, Pastor Beutrice Kamau, Moses Kangoho, Githuku Muirani, Kenneth Wamburi, Silas Kimani, Peter Gitau, Evalyn
Nyagah, Mary Mugo, Grace Nyambura Kamau, Susan Mukami, Jacinta W Njoroge, Jane
Nyakairu, Karanja Wakaru, David Nyori Nyoike, Margaret Njehia,  Mr&Mrs J. Njenga
Kinuthia, Lillan Nyambura among others. They all assured Narc-Kenya of their support in the coming elections.

Mr Mukundi said ODM-Kenya is full of noise makers with nothing to
offer to the Kenyan people.

According to Mr Mwaura, it is an insult to the Dagoreti voters for Hon. Raila Odinga to ask other politicians to change base. Asking Mr Uhuru to leave his Gatundu constituency and move to Dagoreti is a disgusting idea.

Boni down to 2nd division as Paul Oyuga may move up!

Posted by African Press International on November 6, 2006

Bonaventure Maruti made his presence felt for the last time when he played for his team Follo in the Norwegian first division.

Despite his heroism status with 15 goals this season, his team ended up among the last four with 25 points, which means his team will be in division group in the coming year, joining among others, Manglerud Stars, Løv-ham and Hødd.

”Boni” has confirmed that he will continue in the club next season which has made many of the surporters very happy as they will probably need his efforts and energy in order to motivate others, a talent needed if Follo has to move up to 1 division next year.

Now thats just ”mzuri.”Boni” as kenyans know him has played 14 games for his national team. Among other clubs that he has played for are AFC-Leopards, Michigan Bucks, Ørebro, and Bryne.

Things are much better for older and more experienced Muiruri, John Machethe, better known as ”Mo” even after leading 3-1 against Bodø Glimt from the north, they lost controll of the game in the second half and ended up in the 8th place, a position they have held most part of this seson. ” Mo” who has played over 60 games for his national team and 13 games for U21 and U23, has a bright future and we are looking forward to another season with him in 1 division. He has his roots from Utalii and Tusker before out in gent and beershots.

Paul Oyuga
You ask anybody from Bodø and they will tell you, this man is Kenya’s biggest profile in Norwegian football. We congratulate him though being 33 in age, his fans in Bryne are very happy as they now need only to beat Odd Grenland twice and they are in the Norwegian elite, joining Rosenborg and Vålerenga.

His lone-man show performance against Bodø, was something not seen before in the year. He has scored 12 goals for Bryne. He will be in action again this coming wednesday and we wish him all the best. He has also played in AFC-Leapards.
