Olympic swimmer, Alexander Dale Oen, was trying his new custom-made swimming trunks, when they burst at the seams.

“They were simply too small. I was worried there for a while, but bigger trunks have arrived in time. He’s going to try them out in the Olympic pool here in Beijing,” says Petter Løvberg, who heads the Norwegian team.
What swimmers wear has been hotly debated since Speedo launched its high-technology swim suit earlier this year. Dale Oen tried out an outfit from his sponsor during the Norwegian championship in June, but he wasn’t comfortable. At the Olympics he plans to wear long trunks.
Dale Oen will be testing the trunks on Saturday when he test swims the 100 metre breaststroke, writes aftenposten.no.
