Dear Mr. Editor,
I am just an American Homemaker. But, let me just say that you should NOT release your recordings, if you have them, to ANYONE! What you should do, is post it on your website, or perhaps on Myspace. I don’t know if Youtube will publish it, but that would be good.
This is for your protection. Protect yourself from Obama supporters who do not want the recording out there, and from Obama enemies who would drag you into their side. You don’t want that. You don’t want to be placed in the middle of our election.
You are just stating facts. That is what reporters do. But some are calling you a liar. Saying that you made this up…that she never called you. This also places you in a dangerous position. They are making it look as if you are against Mr. Obama, who is popular all around the world, and here you are smearing his dear wive’s name! Making up lies about her, saying she said things that she did not. That is what they are doing. Just look at what the press around the world have done to Mrs. Palin!
Isn’t it sad to think that a politician, the ones charged with making this a better world, will care more about their own reputation, and nothing about ruining the reputation of someone they don’t even know?
Truth is, this won’t probably do anything to hurt Mr. Obama’s chances at winning. It looks as if he is going to win by a landslide. You can’t hurt Obama, but you are being hurt. As a matter of fact, I think it would be good for Obama. Many people would sympathize with his wives feelings and agree with what she said. This doesn’t make her look bad. People are over reacting.
Publish the recording on your site to save your reputation, and add a disclaimer, that you do not support John McCain, but that all free countries depend on a free press to cut through political posturing and to reveal the true candidate, so that the People can elect a true person…warts and all. It is important to have the truth.
Thank you for telling your story, but I think you better hurry, to protect yourself.
