Chief Editor, don’t hand this recording over to anybody. Post it here on your site like you said you would do. Most of these people didn’t even know about API until this story broke.
Let them all wait like the rest of the American public. Just be careful and keep all copies in a safe and different place until you decide when you are going to post it.
