Averting a Crisis in Confidence; Citizen files Lawsuit Against Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed demanding verification of Barack Obama’s citizenship status.
Seattle WA. 10/9/2008 — Steven Marquis, a resident of Fall City WA today filed suit in Washington State Superior Court against Secretary of State Sam Reed demanding verification of Barack Obama’s citizenship status.
The complaint seeks specifically that the office of the Washington Secretary of State verify and certify that Mr. Obama is or is not a “natural born” citizen by producing original or certified verifiable official documents. The lawsuit argues that this certification should take place before the election to preclude a constitutional crisis and likely civil unrest should such certification, after the election, prove that Mr. Obama was not qualified for office.
The Complaint argues that the Secretary of State has the authority and duty to not only certify the voters but also and most importantly the candidates and in so doing prevent the wholesale disenfranchisement of voters who would had had an opportunity to choose from qualified candidates had the certification preceded the election process.
At this point, Mr. Obama has not allowed independent or official access to his birth records nor supporting hospital records. The Hawaii Health Department has violated Federal law by ignoring formal Freedom of Information requests for the same. Due to the facts and numerous other allegations that would challenge Mr. Obama’s fundamental qualifications for office, a Federal lawsuit was filed and is currently being heard in District Court, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Obama failed to respond to the District Court’s request to produce or allow access to the official documents (should they exist) and instead filed a motion to dismiss arguing the Plaintiff had no “standing” or right to know. This non-response as of 9/24/2008 in Federal court casts doubt on the veracity of the electoral system and is the principal reason for this lawsuit. The late entry of this suit is due in principal part to Mr. Obama’s delay and subsequent non response to reasonable request for valid certificates. Multiple requests for early certification to the Office of the Secretary of State has been rejected.
[clarification: The district court process itself demands a response from Mr. Obama. When a complaint is filed, the defendant has an opportunity to respond to the judge regarding the plaintiffs request for a preliminary injunction. Obama did respond, but not with the requested documentation, not even minimally so. He responded with a motion for dismissal based on “standing” rather than the merits of the case]
The Washington Secretary of State Office is specifically charged with certifying and guaranteeing the veracity of official documents and overseeing the elections to wit the people’s confidence in the fundamental aspect of democracy is maintained. To date, in this regard, Secretary of State Sam Reed has not carried out that fundamental duty.
This lawsuit demands injunctive relief directing Sam Reed, Secretary of State, carry out the duty of his office in this regard answering the formal complaints for verification of Mr. Obama and any other candidate appearing on the ballots issues through his office for which formal complaints have been received.

Mrs Obama saga: Don’t let the extremists threaten or scare you to reconsider your decision. They are tyrants who suppress information to serve their own cause and are not noble people. Michelle Obama’s Call…Let’s Debate the Relevance
Posted by African Press International on October 18, 2008
Mr. Korir,
I want to commend you on your courage to move forward with this story. You have no idea how unfair and one-sided the mainstream media has been during this presidential election. It’s strange that the nominee of the Democrats speaks to our “power of demonstration” over our “demonstration of power” yet uses power tactics to accomplish his goals (for that matter, he even studied it and taught it as a community organizer). But I agree with his premise, so let’s let the power of our demonstration be in the form of an open debate on the issue and the people will decide the relevance of this story.
The U.S. is supposed to be a beacon of freedom for the world to follow, where robust exchange of ideas make us better, where the press monitors those in power for the good of its citizens. It’s what our Founding Fathers wanted so that government was not left unchecked. Unfortunately our watchdogs have let us down too many times and it’s now the citizens that need to monitor the blatant abuse of power, and the corruption that is hidden behind the façade of bias.
There are few opportunities in this election cycle where we can get direct and accurate information without the opinions of those looking to “break” a relevant story. But I ask this: Relevant in what regards and to whom? An example of this is the mainstream media’s idea of a “newsworthy story” puts 30 investigative reporters in Alaska to dig up dirt on the governor’s involvement in firing an abusive State Trooper, but will not dare ask a presidential candidate about his influence on the Kenyan elections. As we know, the upheaval after the elections caused widespread genocide and the only reporter brave enough to break the story, Jermoe Corsi, gets arrested in Kenya on fraudulent charges. Who stopped him and why (no need to respond, we know the answer)? So let’s see here…the firing of a State Trooper or thousands dead under the order of a brutal state leader…I guess we’ll let the media decide which one is relevant since they have our best interest at heart.
So now you see a glimpse of our frustration and why this story matters – and that’s because it’s one of the few instances where information cannot be scrubbed by those that don’t truly understand the concept of freedom of speech. Don’t let the extremists threaten or scare you to reconsider your decision. They are tyrants who suppress information to serve their own cause and are not noble people. They inevitably fail in life because they lose all objectivity when faced with divergent views. Help keep America a center for diverse idea exchange, the world will be better for it. Please release the audio tapes at your earliest convenience so that we can do as a nation what we do best; debate the issue in a open and public forum.
Take care of yourself and trust your morals. A well-tuned compass will never lead you astray…

Mrs Obama saga: I fear the power you are wielding against our Country. You sir are scaring the hell out of me.
Posted by African Press International on October 18, 2008
Let me say that I don’t speak for the Media, I speak for American’s. Hard working folks that are suffering and never had political agendas. I am a Military Wife and Mother, my husband and my son our willing to lay their lives down for the Media to have their freedom of speech.
Well it is time we exercised our right to free speech. Regardless of the political agendas here, the truth is the truth and let it be told. I sense the hesitancy in your writing and cannot believe that one person has the power to effect our elections so much and because of the racial tension created by politics I fear the power you are wielding against our Country.
You sir are scaring the hell out of me. I have read some very good suggestions here. Why not release part of the tape to verify Mrs. Obama called API.
I just want to know if who we are voting for are even legal candidates. If you have this tape and what you have said is true then let the healing begin for our people and let us get on with a fair election.
