The government does not want reporting on the homosexuality. We are supposed to write only good things

Posted by African Press International on March 31, 2009

Bujumbura (Burundi) – Journalists are targeted, poor peasants whipped into frenzies of protests, and the roughly 400 gay people living in Burundi find themselves Target No. 1 in their own land.

For the past month or so, this tiny country long forgotten by most of the world has been in the spotlight for the one thing people may have never suspected a mirage-legislature rising up against both the president and the allies the missionary churches dotted throughout the country.

There are few things as unpopular in Africa as homosexuality. It is seen as a particularly virulent and sinister strain of the West’s unwelcome foray around here. To be gay is to be evil, criminal, and un-African. You can lose your family, livelihood, and sometimes your life.

There just happens to be no law against it in Burundi. It hadn’t made much of a difference until one was proposed by the president and defeated by his senate. It was a blow to the president, and a temporary confidence-booster for people who live in secrecy and fear.

An article in an amendment to the national penal code that would have made homosexual acts punishable by up to two years in prison was pulled out by the Senate on February 24. It was a shock to the system in Burundi, where legislatures more often than not are rubber stamps of the head of state. President Pierre Nkurunziza took it as a slap in the face.

The president’s power is weakening, said Pancrace Cimpaye, chairman of the opposition party and member of senate. We must take advantage.

Burundians are deeply religious. The church and the Word of God are transcendent. That includes President Nkurunziza, who attends the local Church on the Rock in Bujumbura. Though founded in Texas, much of the Church on the Rock operates abroad, in places like Burundi, Third World states where fates and livelihood still hinge on the mercies of nature. From Rwanda to Brazil to the Philippines, these modern-day missionaries have found converts and a powerful voice.

So, in the past weeks, the government, together with this and other churches, has gone on an all-out campaign to reverse the Senate’s decision.
Just the other day, roughly 15,000 people marched in protests led by factions of the government against the senate’s decision.

If we love our country, if we love our culture, we must ban this practice that will draw only misfortune, said the chairman of Burundi’s ruling party, Jeremie Ngendakumana. The protests were organised using radio advertisements and cellphone text messaging.

This was a huge manipulation of the people, said Mr Cimpaye. “It was demagogic.

The albinos wanted a protest last week because they are being killed. They wanted to have a demonstration, but the government refused, saying it would take away from the working day, said an anonymous NGO worker in Bujumbura. But when 15,000 march against gays on a working day, it’s okay.

Being albino may be one of the unluckiest things in this part of the world, where people are hunted for their skins, sought for magical protection by bush-doctors. To be one of Burundi’s approximately 400 gays isn’t much better.

We have so many children who have been rejected by their family because of being gay or lesbian, and many of them are forced to work as sex slaves to make money, says George Kanuma, co-ordinator for ARDHO, Burundi’s only gay advocacy group. This law would make it all the worse for them.

But a fighting spirit remains. Use my name, says Kanuma. To see it in the newspapers is protection for us. That’s exactly where those names have been. Since the protests, homosexuality has been on the tip of tongues of the country.

Parliament, which received the amended legislation from the senate, swiftly put the article criminalising homosexuality back into place.

Churches and non-governmental organisation have held press conferences, radio shows, and television programmes on the issue.

It is political propaganda ahead of the 2010 elections, says Christian Rumu, vice-president of Burundi’s gay association.

In the National Assembly, a heated debated rages on, with opposition leaders calling for a national referendum on the issue. According to the constitution, if the two sides cannot come to agreement, it will be parliament that makes the decision. Few here believe the president will allow the law to pass without criminalising homosexuality.

As the story makes larger waves around both the region and world, the government’s forces are clamping down on journalists. Although one newspaper editor was released recently, two more journalists were arrested.

We are in danger, and must work in secret, says a stringer in Burundi for the international press. The government does not want reporting on the homosexuality. We are supposed to write only good things.

All farmers in the Lowveld, Zimbabwe’s prime sugar growing area, are currently in hiding after confirmation that arrest warrants had been issued for them all

Posted by African Press International on March 31, 2009

Harare (Zimbabwe) – Zimbabwe’s economy has always been agriculturally based, and land tenure is central to resuscitating the economy. The widespread farm invasions have destroyed food production and the displacement of tens of thousands of farm workers has created a mass humanitarian crisis. The population of commercial farmers has dwindled from 4 500 to 100, in just the last 10 years.

Those at the forefront of the latest wave of farm invasions include senior ZANU PF officials, police, army officers and war veterans, all in gross violation of the Global Political Agreement.

All farmers in the Lowveld, Zimbabwe’s prime sugar growing area, are currently in hiding after confirmation that arrest warrants had been issued for them all. The driving force behind the problems in the Lowveld is Deputy Police Commissioner Admore Veterai. In January 2008 he violently took over a Lowveld farm and the owners have been held virtually hostage since that time. Last week he looted their property when they were away. They returned and removed his possessions so Veterai took his anger out on their innocent employees.

Chiredzi farmer Gerry Whitehead said: “That evening Veterai returned and he got his hired thugs to beat up the Nesbitt’s remaining staff with knobkerries shouting that Veterai was the owner of the house now and that everybody had to leave, at the same time he (Veterai) removed the Nesbitt’s furniture again.”

The Deputy Police Commissioner carries an AK assault rifle and a pistol on his hip at all times. Whitehead said a report was made to Chiredzi police “but it is unlikely that they will act against the Deputy Police Commissioner of Zimbabwe.”

Farm evictions have escalated since the formation of the inclusive government, however the Minister of Lands, Dr Herbert Murerwa, says there are no fresh farm invasions taking place, just ‘disturbances’ caused by former farm owners who are resisting occupation by new farmers with genuine offer letters.

The state controlled Sunday Mail newspaper also quoted ZANU PF provincial governors stating that people must not be under any illusion that because there is a new government there will be a stoppage to the land reform programme. There was no mention of the extreme violence that has accompanied these illegal takeovers and the statements were made by ZANU PF governors whose very appointments are under dispute in the coalition government.

The statements came a couple of days after Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai warned the invaders to stop the illegal activities or risk imprisonment.

Tsvangirai said: “This government is aware that most of the ongoing disruptions of agricultural production, which are being done in the name of the land reform process, are actually acts of theft using fraudulent offer letters. Those continuing to undertake these activities will be arrested and face justice in the courts.”

The Prime Minister was speaking at the opening of the Stakeholders Summit in Harare on Friday, which was attended by members of the business community and civil society.

In his closing remarks at the same function, Dr. Albrecht Conze, the German Ambassador to Zimbabwe, said securing donor and investor confidence hinged on the issue of respecting property rights.

He said the continued farm disruptions are sending out the wrong

signal: “This may be an internal affair as long as legislation and practice only affect citizens of this country. But it becomes a bilateral issue for all those countries that have concluded investment protection agreements with Zimbabwe, and whose investors are being unlawfully molested and disrupted in their business affairs.”

“Countries far bigger than Zimbabwe have broken down in the 20th century because their ideology had abolished respect for property rights. Such mistakes should now be a matter of the past. At the very moment where the donor community is taking its first steps to substantial re-engagement in Zimbabwe, the continued farm disruptions are sending out the wrong message,” Ambassador Conze warned.

Commercial farmer Ben Freeth said no one was taking any notice of the Prime Minister’s statements at Friday’s meeting, as farm invasions continued this past weekend. He said in Chegutu alone at least three farms were invaded by senior ZANU PF officials. He said Chegutu lands officer, Clever Kunonga, broke into Reydon Farm owned by Kevin Dudoil, while a ZANU PF Senator looted property at the Meredith’s Farm. Freeth asked: “Does an offer letter give someone the right to destroy people’s property?”

A return to the rule of law and secure land tenure is absolutely critical if there is to be any real change in Zimbabwe. But when police, land officers and senators are going around, illegally invading farms, while looting and beating, who is going to arrest them?

Zimbabwe: Attacks on freedoms of expression and movement registered the largest single increase during the month at 460 percent

Posted by African Press International on March 31, 2009

Harare (Zimbabwe) – The Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum said it recorded more than 430 cases of rights violations in February and warned of simmering political tensions waiting to explode unless a thorough national healing and cleansing process is undertaken.

In a report that casts a pale shadow over the sustainability of Zimbabwe’s fragile coalition government formed last month, the forum said there was a 457 percent surge in the total number of violations against government critics between January and February this year. There were only 78 violations reported in January compared to 435 cases last month.

The formation of the inclusive government did not bring an end to civic repression as witnessed by the continued heavy-handedness with which the police handled the protests that took place in the month of February, the Forum said in its Political Violence Report for February 2009 released last week.

Attacks on freedoms of expression and movement registered the largest single increase during the month at 460 percent.

There were 94 arrests in February after the police broke up peaceful marches by students or members of the Women of Zimbabwe Arise (WOZA) pressure group. Only two arrests were made in January, according to the Forum which is a coalition of 17 rights groups operating in Zimbabwe..

There were 105 unlawful arrests and detentions in February compared to 21 the previous month, according to the human rights forum.

The forum also reported an upsurge in cases of political discrimination, intimidation and victimisation since the formation of the unity government between President Robert Mugabe and former opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai in February. At least 110 incidences of political intimidation and victimisation were recorded compared to just 26 in January.

The Forum blamed most of the violations on the police, the army and militant supporters of Mugabe’s ZANU PF party. It condemned the violent manner in which the police reacted to the protests and urged the police to exercise restraint when dealing with unarmed protestors and to act in the spirit of the Global Political Agreement (GPA) signed by Mugabe and Tsvangirai last September.

The Ministry of Home Affairs is also called upon at this time when the GPA is starting to be implemented, to institute reforms that will ensure respect for civic liberties and all human rights as well as the implementation of internationally accepted policing standards by members of the ZRP, said the forum.

It warned that optimism in the unity government has waned due to an upsurge of fresh farm invasions and the harassment and forced eviction of commercial farmers, particularly in the Chegutu area of Mashonaland West province.

It said ZANU PF youths had illegally settled on white-owned farms disrupting farming activities while at least three farmers who were part of the group that won a court battle against the Zimbabwe government at the SADC Tribunal were arrested and later released without charge.

“The continued farm invasions as well as the harassment of the applicants in the case, is in complete disregard of regional mechanisms and treaties and sets a bad precedent for Zimbabwe’s efforts for regional and international integration as well as for economic recovery, in which agriculture is key,” the NGO coalition said.

The upsurge of retributive violence and violence erupting after attempts by MDC supporters and activists to claim property lost to known ZANU PF supporters during the 2008 elections was another worrying trend that had soiled the inclusive government, the forum observed.

Reports of MDC supporters taking the law into their own hands and instituting “justice” against those who perpetrated violations against them during the 2008 electoral period are on the increase.

The Human Rights Forum is deeply disturbed by the selective application of the law manifested through the arrest of MDC supporters only when it is clear even from state media reports that the violence is from both sides and at times, provoked by ZANU PF supporters, it noted.

The forum said clashes between Tsvangirai’s Movement for Democratic Change and ZANU PF supporters in Harare’s Mbare low-income  suburb was an indication that partisan tensions are far from appeased with the formation of the inclusive government.

Retribution is an indication of the dire need for national healing and also an indication that a blanket amnesty for the perpetrators of the gruesome crimes committed during the 2008 electoral period and before will only serve to intensify deep rooted tensions and polarisation, the body said.

It urged the inclusive government should establish mechanisms to ensure reparation and justice to bring about national healing.

A United Nations document on “climate change” that will be distributed to a
major environmental conclave next week envisions a huge reordering of the
world economy, likely involving trillions of dollars in wealth transfer, millions of job losses and gains, new taxes, industrial relocations, new tariffs and subsidies, and complicated payments for greenhouse gas abatement schemes and carbon taxes – all under the supervision of the world body.

Those and other results are blandly discussed in a discretely worded United
Nations “information note” on potential consequences of the measures that
industrialized countries will likely have to take to implement the Copenhagen
Accord, the successor to the Kyoto Treaty, after it is negotiated and signed by December 2009. The Obama administration has said it supports the treaty process if, in the words of a U.S. State Department spokesman, it can come up with an “effective framework” for dealing with global warming.

The 16-page note, obtained by FOX News, will be distributed to participants at a mammoth negotiating session that starts on March 29 in Bonn, Germany, the first of three sessions intended to hammer out the actual commitments involved in the new deal.

In the stultifying language that is normal for important U.N. conclaves, the
negotiators are known as the “Ad Hoc Working Group On Further Commitments For Annex I Parties Under the Kyoto Protocol.” Yet the consequences of their negotiations, if enacted, would be nothing short of world-changing.

Getting that deal done has become the United Nations’ highest priority, and the Bonn meeting is seen as a critical step along the path to what the U.N. calls an “ambitious and effective international response to climate change,” which is intended to culminate at the later gathering in Copenhagen.

Just how ambitious the U.N.’s goals are can be seen, but only dimly, in the note obtained by FOX News, which offers in sparse detail both positive and negative consequences of the tools that industrial nations will most likely use to enforce the greenhouse gas reduction targets.

The paper makes no effort to calculate the magnitude of the costs and disruption involved, but despite the discreet presentation, makes clear that they will reverberate across the entire global economic system.

Among the tools that are considered are the cap-and-trade system for
controlling carbon emissions that has been espoused by the Obama
administration; “carbon taxes” on imported fuels and energy-intensive goods and industries, including airline transportation; and lower subsidies for those same goods, as well as new or higher subsidies for goods that are considered “environmentally sound.”

Other tools are referred to only vaguely, including “energy policy reform,” which the report indicates could affect “large-scale transportation infrastructure such as roads, rail and airports.” When it comes to the results of such reform, the note says only that it could have “positive consequences for alternative transportation providers and producers of alternative fuels.”

In the same bland manner, the note informs negotiators without going into details that cap-and-trade schemes “may induce some industrial relocation” to “less regulated host countries.” Cap-and-trade functions by creating decreasing numbers of pollution-emission permits to be traded by industrial users, and thus pay more for each unit of carbon-based pollution, a market-driven system that aims to drive manufacturers toward less polluting technologies.

The note adds only that industrial relocation “would involve negative
consequences for the implementing country, which loses employment and
investment.” But at the same time it “would involve indeterminate consequences for the countries that would host the relocated industries.”

There are also entirely new kinds of tariffs and trade protectionist barriers such as those termed in the note as “border carbon adjustment”- which, the note says, can impose “a levy on imported goods equal to that which would have been imposed had they been produced domestically” under more strict environmental regimes.

Another form of “adjustment” would require exporters to “buy [carbon] offsets at the border equal to that which the producer would have been forced to purchase had the good been produced domestically.”

The impact of both schemes, the note says, “would be functionally equivalent to an increased tariff: decreased market share for covered foreign producers.” (There is no definition in the report of who, exactly, is “foreign.”) The note adds that “If they were implemented fairly, such schemes would leave trade and investment patterns unchanged.” Nothing is said about the consequences if such fairness was not achieved.

Indeed, only rarely does the “information note” attempt to inform readers in dollar terms of the impact of “spillover effects” from the potential policy changes it discusses. In a brief mention of consumer subsidies for fossil fuels, the note remarks that such subsidies in advanced economies exceed $60 billion a year, while they exceed $90 billion a year in developing economies.”

But calculations of the impact of tariffs, offsets, or other subsidies is rare. In a reference to the impact of declining oil exports, the report says that Saudi Arabia has determined the loss to its economy at between $100 billion and $200 billion by 2030, but said nothing about other oil exporters.

One reason for the lack of detail, the note indicates, is that impact would vary widely depending on the nature and scope of the policies adopted (and, although the note does not mention it, on the severity of the greenhouse reduction targets).

But even when it does hazard a guess at specific impacts, the report seems
curiously hazy. A “climate change levy on aviation” for example, is described as having undetermined “negative impacts on exporters of goods that rely on air transport, such as cut flowers and premium perishable produce,” as well as “tourism services.” But no mention is made in the note of the impact on the aerospace industry, an industry that had revenues in 2008 of $208 billion in the U.S. alone, or the losses the levy would impose on airlines for ordinary passenger transportation. (Global commercial airline revenues in 2008 were about $530 billion, and were already forecast to drop to an estimated $467 billion this year.)

In other cases, as when discussing the “increased costs of traditional exports” under a new environmental regime, the report confines itself to terse description.
Changes in standards and labeling for exported goods, for example, “may demand costly changes to the production process.” If subsidies and tariffs affect exports, the note says, the “economic and social consequences of dampening their viability may, for some countries and sectors, be significant.”

Much depends, of course, on the extent to which harsher or more lenient
greenhouse gas reduction targets demand more or less drastic policies for their achievement.

And, precisely because the Bonn meeting is a stage for negotiating those targets, the note is silent. Instead it suggests that more bureaucratic work is needed “to deepen the understanding of the full nature and scale of such impacts.”

But outside the Bonn process, other experts have been much more blunt about the draconian nature of the measures they deem necessary to make “effective” greenhouse gas reductions.

In an influential but highly controversial paper called “Key Elements of a Global Deal on Climate Change,” British economist Nicholas Lord Stern, formerly a high British Treasury official, has declared that industrial economies would need to cut their per capita carbon dioxide emissions by “at least 80% by 2050,” while the biggest economies, like the U.S.’s, would have to make cuts of 90 percent.

Stern also calls for “immediate and binding” reduction targets for developed
nations of 20 percent to 40 percent by 2020.

To meet Stern’s 2050 goals, he says, among other things, “most of the world’s electricity production will need to have been decarbonized.”

By way of comparison, according to the U.S. Department Of Energy, roughly 72 percent of U.S. electrical power generation in 2007 was derived from burning fossil fuels, with just 6 percent coming from hydro-power and less than 3 percent from non-nuclear renewable and “other” sources. And even then, those “other” non-fossil sources included wood and biomass – which, when burned, are major emitters of carbon.

The Obama-Soros Factor in the National Dry Run Up To the Kool-Aid Brigade

Posted by African Press International on March 30, 2009

By Rev. Lainie Dowell

An apeal to American grown ups to finally grow up!

“When I was a child, I spake as a child. But when I became (grown up), I put away childish things.” -Scripture

When I was a child, the grown ups put children in their place. They did not even have to be family members or neighbors, but grownups were quick to scat you out of the room so that they could have “grown folk talk” about matters not intended for little ears. And on the way out of their vicinity, the children were apt to hear somebody say, “Little children should be seen and not heard.” But that was in my day. Today, the youngsters are telling grown folk to sit down, shut up, and — in fact — go away somewhere and die!

Fortunately, since I became grown and on my own, that mentality is a mere memory for me instead of a forceful manmade command by which I have to live my life. And, yet, I am watching the so-called educated and not-so-educated grown folk being bullied and pushed around daily by the Obama Administration including by his gang of ChiMITES, while grown ups stand and act helpless to stop this homegrown tyranny. Moreover, too many officials and main stream media mindlessly go along to kow tow to Obama’s edicts from whatever comes into his mind. And, in their cult-like malaise, citizens are going along to obey these midnight mandates that Obama unilaterally hurls down towards them from the White House Oval Office. With just his pen and him alone, or his handy dandy email list of millions, he continues to illegally campaign and initiate grassroot changes to legal American policy, whether legislated or not, to cover our entire nation. Congress are you listening?

Americans — Decision Time Is Here. Decide!

During the 2008 Presidential Election Campaign, Barack Obama went all across this nation and in other parts of the world making all kinds of brash promises about the economy and the wars America has been heavily engaged in since before Obama sought that Office of President of the United States of America (POTUS).

Furthermore, throughout his campaigning, Obama made the claim and convinced millions of people in America and around the world that he was the only person who had what it took to fix the economic problems suffered by this nation. Instead, he and the Democratic Party (DEMS) decided to place all of the blame for the economic downturn on “an inheritance” from Former President George W. Bush. This is their lame attempt to excuse Obama’s lack of competence and trustworthiness to adhere to his oath of allegiance to the Constitution of the United States. On the contrary, before he even got into office, he began to exhibit the demeanor of dictators and tyrants rather than as a servant of the people.

The Barack Obama-George Soros Factor in American Politics

On the national level, a little known factor remains unknown to a lot of trusting folk, which is that America does not belong to the American people. For the most part, it has been and continues to be bought up piece by piece by George Soros, a naturalized citizen since 1956, who came from Hungary. But a review of the Open Secrets records shows that Soros practically owns the Democrat Party lock, stock, and barrel. He is wealthy enough to buy or break up whole nations throughout the world, with impunity, including Russia and Britain, among many others.

Soros is one man who has written definitive books on the subject of global economics. But, the fact is, Obama and Soros have no intention of helping America to remain on top as the leader of the free world. They finally have this nation right where they want it — broke and broken, and eager for a savior to step in to rescue them pennies on the dollar.

My ongoing investigation into Soros’ activities leads me to the conclusion that, if America allows him to continue, without accountability, to manipulate the financial markets on the local and global scale, then they need to go back and apologize to Bernie Madoff and release him from prison. But Soros is the man who is a friend to the journalists who have given him honors and accolades over the years, as they have done for Obama in recent years.

By comparison to Soros, Madoff had remained a virtual recluse and his hedge fund activities also paled in comparison to the worldwide Soros organization, which is based in the Netherlands Antilles; and, as such, it is legally out of the purchasing reach and prohibitive to Americans who might want to buy a piece of his financial action. But, Soros has remained free to dabble in whatever global governmental financial market he chooses. He is the real fat cat who dispenses beau coups bucks and wields the power in the land.

Barack and Michelle Obama count lawyers and economists among their many friends and associates (male and female). In fact, many of them have also written books and taught in universities on the problems with, and the solutions for, global and local economies gone bad. As such, wouldn’t you think that Obama could have gotten our devastating economic problems under control and this country up and running and back on course by now, if he really wanted to do so?

Archival news reports from many decades ago, show that Barack Obama has become the long-awaited, anointed, black boy of Soros and the DEMS. None of them has kept secret the fact that they are working hard in every branch of government to make up for the last eight years of the Bush Administration, when Bush would not allow the DEMS to put forth their progressive-socialist agendas in America. Now that Obama is POTUS, he is leading the charge to hand over our nation totally into the hands of his financial benefactor, George Soros. Get to know him, as so many politicians know about him but have kept quiet about his part in American political activities. They do not want to interfere with their personal campaign cash cow, Soros. And, they know, also, that Soros is the real person who has actually confessed to having a Messianic complex.

Over many years, Soros’ has been known to have lost millions but has gone on to make billions of currency. And, his resources are tied up in everything from politics to drugs, education, money markets, energy, corporations, poverty, entire governments on the global scale, and as a part of all aspects of the life of billions of people worldwide. Soros is known as the “go-to man” in matters pertaining to money, regardless of the national denomination on the bills.

still, we are watching as Americans are being manipulated in a “come here, stay there” kind of sadistic testing from Soros and Obama to see just how far they can push the citizens before they will rebel and rise up to repel their abusive leadership. And, as with what happened with Jim Jones and his followers in Jonestown, Guyana, both Soros and Obama already know the exact point at which they can pull out the real poison. And they know that their followers will either take a drink from their fount or else die, upon their command, by the hands of their faithful followers. But, are Americans ready to take that drink or will our leaders take decisive action to stop their mass genocide? If not, then they will also owe Hitler an apology, as well. That’s just how critical this moment in our time has become. And it becomes more crucial to be attended to, because of the “wait and see” attitude of so many people who still have not gotten the revelation about ObamaTRAUMA yet.

The Corrupt Chicago, Illinois, Machinery

We may all live in one world, but we do not live with one mind to speak as one voice for the whole world. Yet, we are being constrained by a godless leadership that seeks to make us into automatons who move all together in one direction. And, at the eb and flow of political polls, we have been made out to be the government’s determining factor for what kind of life we should all live. Cronyism has taken the place of service, when it is expedient for the service provider to protect campaign contributors and colleagues who abuse and misuse their authority.

As a part of our free society, Americans have been given a lot to think about since becoming introduced to the corrupt Chicago, Illinois, machinery now being led nationally by Barack Obama and Rahm Emanuel, his chief of staff. And it seems the decision that we now face is how to respond to the question about just how badly do we want to have America to remain our free Homeland and for our Constitutional freedoms to remain intact now and for generations to come?

Obama Continues the One-World Agenda of The Bill Clinton Years

Obama ripped and tore into political colleagues and opponents alike with his many propagandist lies to detract citizens from the crucial issues at hand. He knowingly and willfully made enemies out of his own personal friends. And, all the while, he never broke a sweat. It seems that lying comes easy to him. Obama never changed the expression on his face. Instead, he boldly set up people in strategic places between him and his “detractors” to fend off anybody that he deemed to be his opponent. And, he carried on with what he was doing as though nothing was amiss in the land.

A review of the news from the past reveals that Obama is the puppet whose strings are being pulled and financed by George Soros who owns a large part of America even though Americans cannot buy into his many corporations and businesses, because they are based in the Netherlands. Obama is the front man and Rahm Emanuel jumped off the “Hillary Ship” to work with him during the 2008 campaigning to help get him elected. And, with the billions of dollars Obama had access to through his political connections and professional affiliations, he did not need the nickles and dimes of Americans. He just did not want them to have any money left to mount a legal fight against his outrageous attempts to finalize the socialism-communism plans for which the DEMS are proud now to call themselves, “progressives.”

Barack Obama currently occupies a treasured position of trust in this nation, all because American citizens wanted to make history by putting this black man into the White House to bring “change” and “hope.” Yet, Obama is proving to be the one who is leading the deliberate trashing of all that America stands for. And, while some may say that Obama did not start the spiraling down trend, I believe we could agree that none other has been as blatant about their attempts to mislead the American people and to destroy our American values and culture until Obama came along and shamefully spit in America’s face.

We are a large part of the global community and America, as the leader of the Free World, has no need to capitulate to anybody who leads her citizens into the shame and blame game for all of this world’s ills. We know and appreciate how much blood, sweat, and treasure has been spilled all over this world by loyal Americans who have voluntarily committed themselves to helping us to remain free and to help others to be free and governed by Godly, trustworthy men and women.

The American people who know the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, God and satan, and between men and Godly Angels are bursting with so much anger at the thought of what Barack Obama is doing to destroy this nation. I join with them in their anger, which must not go without a national response to just say, NO! Nevertheless, our language must remain the same. Our minds must remain intact. Our lives must remain unsullied by any government attempts at evil, paternalistic takeovers — not in these United States of America.

What’s more, if anybody today says they do not understand or like what they are hearing spoken about Barack Obama, then they are the problem. And as a part of our solution, we will righteously bypass them on the way towards extricating our nation from the likes of their infamous leader, the likes of which have never before gotten any further than Obama — not even Former President Richard M. Nixon got as far as Obama has gotten in his failed attempt to make himself to be above the rule of law. Obama and advisors, take a hint!!

Americans, join the call to Impeach Barack Obama NOW!

Where is Barack Obama taking the Americans? Impeach Obama now!

Posted by African Press International on March 30, 2009

By Rev. Lainie Dowell

Rev. Lainie Dowell published an article on March 2, 2009, which stated that “Barack INSANE Obama Is Slow Walking Americans to Hell,” and her assessment was recently confirmed on March 25, 2009, by (of all people) the EU President, Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, of Czechoslovakia. Topolanek was quoted by Fox News as saying, “EU Presidency: Obama Plans ‘a Way to Hell.’”

WARNING!! Recently, Governor Mike Huckabee publicly apologized to Sean Hannity for getting it wrong about Barack Obama from the outset. It is clear that people who have the national ear, including the media and our political officials who are admitting they do not read bills put before them before voting them into law, are not being true to their ethical responsibility to the American people and to the United States Constitution. Elected leaders took an oath after they were elected, but they are helping an inept, incompetent, insecure, Obama Administration to rush America headlong into destruction as a nation of freedom and liberty that we know and love. And, while pundits and naysayers are lambasting truthtellers who have investigated and reported on the facts surrounding Obama and his Alinskyite agenda to overturn our Constitution and upset the entire global structure, time is running out to turn them back. It is time our people (all Americans) stopped to listen and hear and take steps finally “to protect, preserve, and defend” our nation instead of fighting against those of us whose purpose is to do just that — (i.e., To “Fight on ’til victory’s won” and our Homeland is safe and secure from all enemies both foreign and domestic).

REPRINT

Regrettably, too many Americans, including the Judeo-Christian and Catholic communities act as if they do not understand the strength of faith to fight against the forces of Hell. What’s more, the fact that so many voices are rising up to speak out against Barack Obama’s outrageously UNAmerican agenda and policies to avert what now already has developed into a Constitutional Crisis, should be enough to alert the entire world that the America known to fight wars abroad gears up more than ever to take on “enemies foreign and domestic” wherever they may be — especially in the United States government, lest we find our nation deposited at the point of no return for either present-day, God-loving Americans or future generations.

Recently, I wrote to disclose to my audience that a noted online publisher had lambasted and totally ostracized me as a Christian because of my play on Obama’s middle name (i.e., where I had written “Barack INSANE Obama”). And, that publisher also told me that my writings were becoming too “Christian” for their audience and said he would block further emails from me. Oddly enough, he claims to be Christian and does not hesitate to report Christian ideologies on his site, depending on who writes it.
However, I have yet to actually Preach in and through my political commentaries, but I recognize that particular publisher and many others are freely trying to shut my mouth so they can try to Preach and, yet, shut the Preacher out. But that’s another story for another day.

THERE IS A TIME FOR PEACE AND THERE IS A TIME FOR WAR!

King Solomon’s biblical wisdom lasts for all time. We have to know our time and season. For me and most believers, we understand that our faith does not constrain us from doing battle but it propels us to the battlefield to wage war even as we lift up “The blood-stained banner.” For, if we stand aside and refuse to also lift up our voices against this evil that we are seeing descend upon America through the Obama Administration, then we will see the likes of the same human devastation that rolled across Europe, Africa, and other parts close to home and for which so many were wounded and died to fight against.

We know where Barack Obama came from, where he is headed, and where he wants to take all of us with him. And, we need to send him and his ungodly team back where they came from because of their demonstrated total loyalty to that man rather than to the United States Constitution and to our Godly American values. Those actions which signal danger for this nation now and in the days to come, absolutely need to be exposed.

During the last eight years when Former President George W. Bush (R-TX) was at the helm, Americans stood by as the DEMS waged a pernicious propagandist warfare against him and his Cabinet and Republicans that found its way into the Well of both the United States Senate and House of Representatives in which the Black Caucus, which was later joined by the Hispanic Caucus, loudly and jeeringly pronounced President Bush as “the President SELECT!”

Not many of those legislators have restrained themselves from such disrespect towards the Office of President and the man, President Bush, who occupied that office. Anybody who watched the January 20, 2009, Inauguration Day and installation of the Obama Administration heard the boo’s coming from attendees and even saw Rahm Emanuel give a thumb to his nose in the direction of the Former President’s helicopter, which took him and his wife from the area. And Barack Obama still leads the distasteful charge against sanity and respect, while now demanding it for himself when we repeatedly tried to warn him and others that it is about the OFFICE!!

What’s more, those legislators (who did so) continue now to further proclaim every chance they get to say that Former Vice President Al Gore (D-TN), who served under the Clinton Administration, was the actual elected President because, as they said, “The (U.S.) Supreme Court handed the Presidency to Bush.” But, what the DEMS have failed to remind the nation is that it was Al Gore who first took that election case into court on the matter. And it was also Al Gore who lost that Florida election count each time and every way that it was taken by that Board of Elections. And, it was Gore and his lawyers who had — for the most part — directed, that recount process. And it was Gore who still lost that election both legally and politically, based on those recounts and the Court’s deliberations on the merits pertaining to facts, issues, and law.

How many Americans do you think you could recall who had heard President Bush or his staff raise their voices to protest the DEMS and other organizations who railed against him and his Republican agenda which, by the way, he clearly conducted for the benefit of the entire nation and not just for his own Party?

How many websites could any American find which President Bush set up in order to knock down hip hop rappers who called him every name in the book, except “Mr. President?” You wouldn’t be able to find one “Fight-the-Smear” Bush website. And I believe Obama’s is the only one and only such electoral site instituted by any presidential candidate much less one who now sits in the Oval Office.

Nevertheless, not one such defense measure exists under the auspices of the Bush Administration! In fact, how many American citizens do you know who took to “the Net” or to the streets to call for the DEMS and others to stop denigrating President Bush? How many? I can’t hear you! There couldn’t have been that many, if any!

Do you suppose that particular lack of response was because President Bush and his supporters were too busy going about the nation’s business and they thought that action to have been more important for them to attend to instead of wasting time turning to address scoffers?

Barack Obama and his Chief-of-Staff, Rahm Emanuel are task masters at perpetrating hype and deadly propaganda that they know is destructive and untrue. They have made no secret of the fact that is their long-time, ongoing modus operandi to win elections. For, if they cannot find dirt and scandal around any campaign opponent, then they will create it and widely disseminate it with the help of anybody they can find who loves (their) money (under the table) more than they love their elected job of serving with the people’s best interest at heart.

Americans need to take the time to search through the Federal Election Commission records to find out how much AIG and Google and other corporations now getting Obama Bail outs had contributed to his presidential election campaign. They would be alarmed to know exactly where all of the taxpayer money is going. Why hasn’t Congress called for a public airing instead of placing responsibility for distribution of trillions of dollars directly and totally in the hands of Barack Obama and Rahm Emanuel? They must be laughing all the way to some safety deposit box somewhere. But, you who laugh at the prospect at least owe it to your ownself to think about it. To date, have they proved to be trustworthy in anything pertaining to America? And, by the way, where is Timothy Geithner? Is he still getting lessons in how to con the public and get by with it?

I associate myself with all of the remarks made by Rush Limbaugh, when he spoke over the past weekend in Washington, DC at the CPAC Conference. Furthermore, I thank God for Rush and for Glen Beck (Fox Cable TV), and for Dr. Laurie Roth of the Roth Radio Show

. These are troopers who have forthrightly enjoined this battle. And, beyond merely telling anybody else about the fight, they have refused to allow anybody and anything to cut them off from speaking truthfully to this nation and, when given the opportunity, to the whole world, about injustice wherever it rears its ugly head.
Although Americans (particularly Republicans) are able to do what it takes to clean up this nation, if called for, we understand that we do not have to get down in the mud with the swine. We do not have to wallow in the muck that the swine delight to churn up. Instead, we stand up to kick it out of our way and to call for it to be cleaned up and thrown out!!!!!

Moreover, United States Senator Robert Byrd (D-WVA) continues to warn Obama publicly through the published letter he sent directly to him in the White House in which Byrd told Obama that America does not have Constitutional provisions for inclusion of anybody in the representative legislative process who has not been deemed to be accountable for any checks and balances via the United States Senate.

Nevertheless, Obama continues to arrogantly pursue that illegal and deadly avenue of unilateral governance through his and Michelle’s ongoing conflict of interest with so many of their ongoing national and global partnerships they helped to set up in order to generate and grow their very own personal grassroots coalitions across the nation and the world. Is there any wonder, then, why Obama wants to shut down lobbyists? He has his very own lobbyists via hip hop rappers, ACORN, Project VOTE, and community organizers, among his lawyer friends and from many of his international supporters.

Therefore, American citizens need to pay closer attention and stop believing the main stream media when they report that the Obama Administration activity is of no consequence to our Constitutional security. But, when Americans see Obama’s generated civil police force and military closing off our neighborhood streets and calling for us to adhere to their curfews, it will be too late for them to look for help from anybody they could believe or trust!

OUR CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS PROGRESSES WHILE DEMS AND WASHINGTON, DC, DISAGREE!

What MUST we do to decisively turn around our Constitutional crisis? Americans and Republicans, in particular, must never allow the DEMS to presume to be spokespersons for our domestic and foreign agendas through their propagandist press releases and media spokespersons. We can no longer watch many of the newscasters (liberal or conservative) without hearing interviewers asking them to tell America what and how the Republicans need to do to serve the nation? And, invariably, the first words out of their mouths are that “The BUSH Administration . . . .” And they follow that up by whatever the DEMS’ talking points happen to be for that day (or moment). And the listeners take it all in and believe the lie rather than the truth, even when the record has been corrected publicly.

Americans need to know exactly how Barack INSANE Obama is able to unilaterally make changes in our government and then announces to the nation his ongoing policies, plans, and agendas on TV, radio, and on the computer, without first going through the United States Congress.

We need to ask ourselves. Is this the same format that Obama plans to use to suddenly announce to the nation that he has unilaterally (though unconstitutionally) “fired and disbanded” the entire United States Congress (including DEMS), our Military, and has ordered all of his dissenters jailed (ALA Hugo Chavez and other dictators)? The Executive Branch is now usurping power without any ending in sight. And that spells T-R-A-I-T-O-R and fosters a groundswell of domestic terrorism. We know this is true, because Obama has told us every step of the way what he is doing, why, and how. It is only the “When,” however, which remains to be seen. The “Where” is also his choice, as it stands, without challenge of any kind.

Accept or reject. The choice is yours. However, the consequences of your individual choice will impact an entire nation.

Americans must demand that the United States Congress begin to initiate proceedings to IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!

Or, at the very least, educate him about the reality of American expectations for our local and national leaders. The American public and Congress did it for Former President Richard M. Nixon even in the midst of his second term. And, Nixon had the good graces to resign before being impeached, but many of his henchmen went to jail for their unwavering obedience to Nixon, as the President, instead of to the nation. Moreover, it seems to me that Obama has continued to assemble for himself just such a hollow-head following of “YES WE WILL, DEAR LEADER,” officials whom he has placed up under his armpits to keep a close watch over. But, why “anoint” them, if he doesn’t trust them to be able to do the jobs they’ve been nominated to do on behalf of the nation?
Why? Because, when Obama first came into the election process, it was through deception and deceit with the stated and ongoing demonstrated intentions of destroying the United States Constitution and America, itself, as a just and Godly nation, being aided and abetted by the United States news media.

The main stream media knew the truth about Obama but withheld it; and, when confronted with facts contrary to their reports, whole networks of media utterly rejected the truth about Obama. And, if anything, many knowingly embellished Obama’s lies in support of his campaign for no other purpose than that they wanted to impact the election. Their main purpose became one of helping to hoist a black man into the White House.

Now, we see that the media, as a whole, have still not stopped to investigate, report, and publish objective news based on facts and credible documentation in order to allow citizens to decide for themselves without their high-level biases interlaced throughout their local and national reports.

Too many professional spokespersons and the local and national newscasters have decided that they want to be celebrities in the news and to make news makers rather than to report on the news as it is being made by others. Those so-called pundits and journalists need to make a choice (i.e., to be either a news reporter or else one of the people who makes news)!

Moreover, we have demanded no less from all of our elected and appointed leaders and that they also adhere to their oath of office and the United States Constitution. America deserves much better. And to have it, Americans, in general, must rise up to meet the test and take action now to best all the rest who had believed Americans would settle for mess. (But I digress)

For any of those who may believe this report is too subjective — that’s why this is called, “Political News Commentary.” And they’d best thank God that the First Amendment is still in operation in the land or else we’d all be stuck like so many DEMS with kooky-aid (sic) pressed to our lips, jello for brains, and no backbone whatsoever to say, “Hell??? NO!!! We won’t go!” And, what’s more, we will stand up and say for once and for all — “NO!!” to any domestic tyranny from whichever way it comes. But how will you know you are not alone, if our voices are silenced by the majority (beyond political affiliation) who have exclusive access to the communication switches to decide whose voice(s) and activities will be allowed to get through?

America has not failed. Crooked leadership for too long has prevailed. Don’t be afraid. Decide and pick a side!

God has not failed mankind. Mankind has failed to believe that God is really real and that He is in residence among us who know, believe, receive, and welcome His presence! And that’s just a fact of life and death which no mortal person can ever dispute or refute and ultimately be found right in so doing.

Stay tuned.–

GLOBAL: New online price tool shows food still expensive – The data shows that food prices in many countries have doubled in five years

Food is still expensive in most developing countries

JOHANNESBURG, – If you are a humanitarian food aid agency with limited resources, operating in Afghanistan and trying to access wheat supplies at the lowest prices, a new UN online tool can help you shop around.

A couple of clicks on the National Basic Food Prices Data and Analysis Tool, developed by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) can give you the price of food staples in 55 developing countries, in local currencies and measurements.

Generally, food is still expensive “but the price of wheat might be cheaper in neighbouring Pakistan, so the aid agency can import wheat from across the border,” said Liliana Balbi, a senior economist at the FAO Global Information and Early Warning System.

“While food prices have fallen internationally, this tool shows that in developing countries they have not fallen so fast, or at all.”

It took FAO some time to put the data together and present it graphically, “but it was critical for us to put it together, for example, to get a sense of the food prices in southern Sudan for aid workers and policy-makers to respond in time if it was too high,” Balbi said.

The data shows that food prices in many countries have doubled in five years; poor people in developing countries spend as much as 60 to 80 percent of their earnings on food.

The price of staple grains like wheat, rice and maize have been climbing since January 2009, after falling from record levels at the same time in 2008, according to FAO. “International prices remain volatile,” said Balbi.

Wheat prices are being pushed up because a smaller wheat harvest is expected in Argentina, a major producer, where the government has suspended export permits.

Rice prices have begun to climb since Thailand, the largest world’s exporter, diverted some four million tons from the market to public inventories at a price reported to be 20 percent higher than market levels.

Maize prices are volatile because of dry conditions in Argentina and Brazil, and a lower demand for US maize.
