The 2011 Eurovision song contest, a yearly music event, is being arranged in Germany in May. European nations select the best song to represent their countries during the contest.
Last year’s Eurovision contest was arranged in Norway after a win by a Norwegian singer in 2009.
The winner this year who represents Norway is a Kenyan born Stella Mwangi voted best by the public winning a total of 280217 votes with her song “Haba Haba” (in english meaning little here, little there makes a difference in life).
The runners-up got 155059, 115793 and finally 94884 votes.
Before the Norwegian contest tonight, she was the favourite followed by a team calling themeslelves – The Black Sheep, a group from Northern part of Norway.
We in API congratulate Stella Mwangi with this win and hopefully she does well in Germany when she meets singers from all over Europe for the Eurovision May Contest.
End.
