Kenyans: Ruto, Kosgey and Sang appear before the ICC

William Ruto – the suspended education minister, Henry Kosgey – the suspended industrialization minister and Radio presenter Sang appeared today at the International Criminal Court in the Hague accused of crimes against humanity following the 2007 general elections. Today, they were to acquaint themselves with the charges preferred against them.
It is alleged the crimes were committed in Nandi district areas. Their case will come up on 1.september when the judges will determine whether they have a case to answer.
Tomorrow, the deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, former police commissioner Hussein Ali and the secretary to the Kenya Cabinet Francis Muthaura are also to appear at the same venue accused of committing crimes against humanity.
