Interview: Hon William Ruto and ICC

Honourable William Samoei Ruto is the member of parliament for Eldoret North Constituency. He has represented the constituency for over 15 years in parliament.
Ruto says he wants to lead Kenya. He has already declared his intention to run for the presidency and will soon popularise his agenda around the country. When asked what his vision for the country is, Ruto says he is the right man because he understand the needs of the Kenyan people.
To him, the youth is a great asset for the country because of their potential. During the interview, Ruto displays no worries about the ongoing ICC process against him. He says, he is not worried because he is innocent of all charges that has been brought against him by Mr Moreno Ocampo. His focus is on the coming presidential campaign.
He considers himself a very able leader ready to deliver services to the Kenyan people. Ruto says he will work with any like-minded politicians to take the country forward.
When asked why he thinks he is the right person to lead the country, Ruto does not hesitate in responding, an indication that he is sharp and of sound mind. He tells API that he wants to serve the people, emphasising on the importance thatany person who wants leadership must understand the needs of the people.
Ruto says he is a performer. He knows what to do when given a job to do. In reference to his time as the Minister of Agriculture, Ruto says his Ministry was rated the best in performance by the monitoring unit in the office of the Prime Minister. And when he moved to the ministry of Higher Education, Ruto says he changed so many things that now serves to uplift Kenya’s standard of education.
During the interview, Hon. Ruto had a lot in his heart to share with Kenyans and the International community, saying he wants the Kenyan people to know that he is ready to serve them, and he will do so diligently.
