Norwegian Refugee Council employees freed

Norwegian Refugee Council employees who were kidnapped by Somali bandits were freed this morning by a joint military rescue team comprising of Somali and African Union soldiers.
The workers were visiting Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya near the Somali border. During the kidnapping, the Norwegian Refugee Council driver who is of Kenyan origin was murdered..
There was jubiliation at the Council’s headquarters in Norway on hearing of the success of the action. The rescued workers are now in Nairobi Kenya.
