Kosgey has gone through a lot in his political life. The latest is the ICC case. He was accused alongside other 5 Kenyans of having financed the 2007/2008 election violence.
The ICC cleared him of wrong-doing during the confirmation of charges hearing. He was cleared together with the former police commissioner Hussein Ali.
The Kenya case will continue from the 10th of April next year when Masters William Ruto, Joshua Sang, Uhuru Kenyatta, and Francis Muthaura will face trial at the Hague.
Kosgey returns to the cabinet after a court in Nairobi cleared him of charges he was facing. He was taken to court on customs charges – that of authorising importation of second hand cars into the country without proper consultaions with the necessary government clearing agencies.
He returns to his former docket – the industrialization ministry as minister. He is the Chairman of ODM Party..
The government does not want the country to become a dumping place for cars over 8 years old.
